Fundraiser Profile

Join Me And Change Lives In Guatemala

I am raising funds for the Osborne Head & Neck Foundation’s medical mission to Guatemala. Although I am not travelling to Guatemala with the team, I am working to support the families they are treating by raising funds for medical supplies, shelter and food for the patients living there. Each year the medical team expects to help over 1,000 people in need. This trip will make a huge difference in the lives of these patients. Most are food insecure and will be seeing a physician for the first time in their lives. The Foundation is a non-religious organization. This effort is simply physicians, language translators, and volunteers donating their skills and time to make a difference in the lives of others.

In terms of background, I became aware of the Foundation’s work last summer when my son (now a senior in high school) participated in a three-week intensive medical camp with 20 other students that included observation/participation in surgeries, daily lectures, and a weekend hands-on tour of the UC Riverside cadaver lab. I have since become involved in the Foundation through activities such as this one.

Why am I involved and why am I asking you to donate? I have given to various organizations and causes over the years (e.g., schools, charitable organizations, community arts, etc.). I personally have seen few individuals as committed as Dr. Ryan Osborne and this team to giving back to the community and trying to make a difference in the world. It’s inspiring. As a result, I am committed to supporting the Foundation’s outreach efforts and in working to increase awareness about the positive impact of the Foundation locally and globally.

I sincerely hope you will join me in supporting this medical mission and the Foundation. Below please find a link to make a donation as well links to learn more about the mission and the Foundation.

Thank you,
Todd
