Join me and change lives in Guatemala
Hello! My name is Lorianna Loreto, I am a foreign physician from Venezuela.
In my country, being a doctor is synonymous with sacrifice, not everyone is capable of enduring what it takes to be a doctor in Venezuela. But it is the vocation, the love for the people that guides you during your journey. At least this is how mine began, wanting to help others more than myself.
Since then my motivation has been to be that change, the one I want to see in the world and my surroundings, I’ve always wanted to leave a beautiful, indelible mark, the kind that stays for generations and motivates everyone not only to look up for themselves but to look up for others as well.

Thanks to that vision I have been able to participate in small missions where I have been able to provide medical services to people who have never received proper care. However, above all, these missions made me understand that being a physician and being in the medical field is more, much more than what you can see on social media. It is a job that comes straight from the heart.
Coming from a 3rd world country, I can assure you that what you see on television or read on social media is only the tip of the iceberg. There is always more to the story, there is always more pain, more suffering than you can imagine. But, I can assure you, that for any of us, any contribution is worth millions and counts even more than you can imagine. What you consider small and insignificant, I promise you, it will never be.

Some time ago, after moving to the US, I began my journey to get my license as an MD, and during this new uphill journey, I was able to come across Osborne Head and Neck Foundation, and I was hooked. The vision, power, and especially the commitment to change the world made me remember why I became a doctor in the first place.
I want you to share this experience with me, for you to be part of that change, for you to witness what a group of people is capable of doing. I promise you, your contribution will change the lives of many people and make you the protagonist of this beautiful history.
No contribution is small, everything counts, everything adds up. What for you is a coffee on your way home, for many people might be the beginning of a new life. Please donate that coffee and help me get these people the life they have been waiting for.
I’ve committed to raising $10,000 towards Medical and Impact Missions in Guatemala. With your support we can change lives.
Medical and Impact Missions are 100% funded by donations from supporters like you. We commit to communities with little to no access to medical care, and bring all supplies needed to perform a wide array of medical services.
