Join me and change lives in Guatemala

Time! It is our most precious commodity. As a cancer survivor, the reality of this sentiment hits home daily!! Time with family and friends is cherished. Time spent doing the activities that bring joy to our hearts is time well spent. Time given in the form of volunteering is priceless!

I believe God has given me more time on this earth so that I can help more people. Many of you are aware that I am involved in helping many cancer patients through their battle fighting cancer. I have also taken an active role in helping breast implant illness patients along their healing journey. There is one more cause that is also near and dear to my heart, The Osborne Head and Neck Foundation. I have been involved with the Foundation since 2008.  I have been blessed to attend four missions around the globe. Volunteering my time and professional talents to care for 100’s of patients whose lives I know we forever changed for the better. During my 1st mission, I thought to myself, “Oh my goodness, I am giving so much to these people and that is a wonderful use of my time.”  Little did I know, that they would be giving more to me than I could ever have imagined and the fabric of my soul would be forever imprinted by their gratitude!

This is where you my friends, family and colleagues come into play. This year we are going to Antigua, Guatemala July 8th-15th. The mission is 100% funded by donations. We must each pay our own way. The key is to raise the extra funds needed in order to help the people of rural Antigua. Not only do we do a medical mission, we do an impact/ humanitarian mission. What does that mean exactly? We go into schools, orphanages or group homes to create change that positively impacts the children’s quality of life and most importantly their education. Sadly, 74% of children in Guatemala do not receive an education beyond the 6th grade. The high school graduation rate of the youth is a mere 4%!!

It is with great honor that I am giving my time and talent so that these wonderful people can receive the medical care they so desperately need. The complexity of the head and neck cases we do can not be duplicated by ENT surgeons in Guatemala. I am asking you to be my partner. Last year you helped me raise $10,000 for Breast Cancer Research and Services. This year, I ask you to help me raise $10,000 so that patients who have ZERO access to care can receive the life saving/ changing surgeries they need, and that we may impact the quality of life of children living in rural Antigua.

I truly believe one person can create change in this world. May we collectively through your generous donations and my gift of time and talent be CHANGE MAKERS!! Help me let God know that the blessing of more TIME He has given me is being used to my fullest capability.

If there is someone you know who may be willing to donate, please pass along this link. It takes a village….

Thank you,
