My name is LaKeesha Christian. People often call me Keesha. I am a former flight attendant so I have had the opportunity to travel the world. While working as a flight attendant I pursued a career in the medical field and became a Surgical Technologist. I continued my education and became a Registered Nurse 7 years ago. Currently, I am employed in the Operating Room as a Registered Nurse. Overall, I have been in the Operating Room for almost 20 years. Still in the pursuit of education, I plan to enhance my studies and work toward a Master’s Degree in Global Nurse Leadership starting Fall 2023.
I am a passionate, fun-loving, family-oriented, caring, as well as nurturing person. As a young girl, 6 years of age, I battled ovarian cancer. This battle taught me compassion. It taught me how to be kind. It kept me grounded, driven and taught me how to persevere. I carry many titles: parent, daughter, sister, auntie & friend. I have 2 biological sons ages 12 & 17. Through unending love and dedication from family, community, and dedicated medical professionals I overcame the illness and have lived cancer-free since the age of 9. It has been my hope since such a tender age to give back the same unconditional love and care that was given to me. This mission to Guatemala and hopefully many others in the future will help me continue my efforts and give me the opportunity to “Pay it Forward.”

Medical and Impact Missions are 100% funded by donations from supporters like you. We commit to communities with little to no access to medical care, and bring all supplies needed to perform a wide array of medical services.
