MY HOPE & VISION
Welcome to our family fundraiser in memory of my husband, and the father of our three children, Joe Mendoza. We are a tight knit family that had the privilege of knowing a kind and generous man who gave selflessly to those in need. After Joe lost his battle with cancer last year, it was important to me and the boys to honor his legacy. What better way to do that than to continue where he left off – by being an example of positive change in the world and helping others in need of medical resources win their battle against cancer.
Our team fundraiser is more than about giving to a good cause or the legacy of my husband, it is about building something that will change people’s lives. The Medical and Community Center we are supporting will be a permanent home where the most vulnerable in our communities can access life-saving medical resources. Even while going through treatment, Joe was deeply involved with the Foundation’s work and the patients who came through its doors. He wanted to see this organization grow, touch more lives and last long into the future. This building will ensure all of these dreams come true, and I know with all my heart he would be proud that we are a part of making it happen.
To make this dream a reality, the Foundation needs to raise $5 million. The boys and I have committed to stretching ourselves as far as possible in order to personally pledge $25,000 toward this campaign over the next 5 years. It won’t be easy, but it is important to us. As a friend, and as someone who loves Joe as much as I do, I am asking you to join us. We hope that together we can raise $100,000 to honor Joe, and ensure everyone has a fighting chance against cancer.

Can I make a pledge and pay it off over time?
A pledged gift at the Silver Project Partner Level up to the Diamond Founder Level can be paid off over 5 years, giving you the flexibility to choose the best way to contribute. Make a monthly, quarterly or annual payment toward your pledge, and feel good knowing you're building a space for compassionate health services to help someone without access to head and neck care.
What are the giving levels for the Foundation renovation project?
We need Headstrong Heroes of all levels to make the dream of a clinic and surgical center a reality. We cannot do this important work without you.
