Fundraiser Profile
Join Me And Change Lives In Ghana
Hello! My name is Kamryn Dominguez, and I’m a fourth-year Filmmaking student at Woodbury University. I was introduced to the Osborne Head & Neck Foundation through an amazing cinematographer who is my mentor and friend, Aimee. She documents OHNI Foundation mission trips for others to see. Ever since I was a child, I have always had my hands on a camera, hoping to inform others about the world and brighten people’s days. As I became older, I fell in love with filmmaking and am currently studying it as my career.

At a young age, I remember seeing my church go to Uganda, Africa, to help feed the children, and since then, I’ve wanted to visit and help out as much as I can. I never thought it was possible until I was introduced to OHNI. In Ghana, there is an urgent need for ENT care, with only 50 ENT doctors for 32 million. Doctors are primarily based in major cities, leaving rural areas without access to specialist care. Head and neck tumors often go untreated, and many patients travel 5-10 hours over an average distance of 100 km to reach care in Accra, where a major backlog of cases awaits.

I am joining this mission to document the reality of what we don’t get to see on the other side of the world, help others share their stories, and spread awareness to those who are unfamiliar. Sharing their experiences is important to me, especially since I have had family members who came close to losing their lives due to medical reasons. Without the kindness and dedication from doctors, I would not be standing here today. On this mission, I will be joining the impact team and documenting the team at the girls’ and boys’ orphanage. Together, we will help build a safe environment for them to be in. I want to invite you to donate and be a part of changing people’s lives forever. We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.
I look forward to this trip and want to thank everyone for any contributions you’ve made in helping us reach our goal.
