Welcome to our fundraising page!

Hello, my name is Aimee Galicia Torres

I am a documentary filmmaker and humanitarian.

Hi! My name is Noelia and this is my family.

I love kids, I enjoy helping others, I believe we can all make a difference if we set out to do so, and I like surrounding myself with people that challenge me to grow, that’s when I thrive the most.

Aimee’s motivation.
When I was 12 years old, I was vacationing with my family in the Philippines for Christmas break. Out of nowhere, my dad was hospitalized. We were set to return early to the states so that my dad could continue his medical care.  The day we were supposed to leave, my dad passed unexpectedly. I realized early in life what it’s like to not have the necessary medical care available.

Growing up, I’ve always dreamed about working and making films for a living. It is a passion of mine to not only create films, but to make films that inspire and bring about change. By going to these medical missions I’m able to tell the stories of normal people doing extraordinary things. It has been an honor to be able to participate by utilizing my craft to give back.

Noelia’s inspiration.
I want to make giving back to communities in need part of what we do in my family. We are raising 3 young kids, and it’s important to me they learn at an early age to give back.

I feel lucky and blessed to have the opportunity to be part of an organization where you can see exactly where your efforts go. Having been involved, and a helping hand in the process over the years has been rewarding and humbling. Personally, it has helped me get perspective and appreciate how much work is put in when the goal is to truly make a positive difference in the life of others. It’s not only what you do, but it also means to open your heart to really see and feel the need these communities have. It’s choosing to feel the hurt deep in your soul and not backing out.

This coming March, we are going on a Medical Mission to Guatemala to help families in need. During our time there we will be running a Medical Mission and Impact Mission simultaneously. Two teams will work tirelessly to provide surgical and medical care as well as improve the living conditions of a local orphanage.

The most challenging part of these missions is that we know the help we can provide is limited, and even though we struggle as a team with this concept every time, it is also why we go on the Missions, why we fundraise almost year-round, and why we talk about the programs we have in the Foundation (i.e. Paws for Patients, Medical Scholars) any chance we get.

At this time, our efforts are dedicated to benefit the people of Guatemala. Unlike other organizations where you donate money and you have no idea where it goes, when you support the Osborne Head and Neck Foundation you can actually see where your contribution is allocated and even meet the people who are receiving your help.

Your donation will go towards the Medical and Impact Missions scheduled to take place from February 25th to March 6th, 2022. You may see us offering visits with Laney, our therapy dog, or selling empanadas; just know it’s all in an effort to continue to reach out to the local community, ask for support, and spread the word about the wonderful work our physicians and volunteers do, while having fun doing so.

We sincerely appreciate your support and look forward to sharing our journey with you.

We’ve committed to raising $10,000 towards Medical and Impact Missions in Guatemala. With your support we can change lives.
